Teagan lives in Boston, Massachusetts, and works as an Engineering Manager for Boston Scientific, designing products for kidney surgery. In 2021, she altruistically donated her kidney to a stranger.

Teagan grew up participating in sports, but had zero interest in running. Then she began the donation process, and was inspired by her kidney donor mentors, Steve Wilson and Hilary Baude (a former CKF NYC marathon runner).

Seeing the athletic achievements they accomplished post-donation inspired Teagan to pick up running to show what a person is capable of with a single kidney. She started racing with the Boston Athletic Association 5K in 2023, and scaled up to more races and further distances. Teagan represented NKR in the Wild West Relay (on a team of all donors and recipients), and NKF Illinois in her first marathon, Chicago, in 2024. 

Representing CKF in the Berlin Marathon is a dream opportunity for Teagan because she has a meaningful personal connection to CKF. Teagan grew up in Colorado, attending Aspen High School in the early 2000s, and had a close connection to the Klug family. She volunteered for some of CKF's first fundraising events. Chris' story was her first exposure to the impact of organ donation, and ended up being the start of the transformational journey that resulted in her own altruistic kidney donation.

Being able to support CKF again, 20+ years later, and in an entirely different context, feels like coming full circle for Teagan, and she cannot wait to represent them in Berlin!

When he is not helping others to become better, Charles finds himself outside, and trying to keep up with other members of CKF, including Founder, Chris Klug, and Board and CKF Bike Team Member, Jon “Dr. String” Gibans.

Charles is a Personal Trainer, an opportunist, and an adventurist.

He grew up in the town of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. After graduating high school in 2000, Charles attended the University of Montana, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Marketing.

For Charles, “Montana was the gateway drug for the Mountains.”

Charles has been a member of the CKF Board for eights years. And he is no stranger to the CKF charity teams. Charles ran the TCS NYC Marathon with Team CKF in 2017. He also ran the Leadville 100 as part of Team CKF in 2019, and now he wants the bike buckle, as part of the CKF Bike Team for 2025!
