Kate Dobbs
Kate was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, where she was an NCAA Division II volleyball player. She first fell in love with Colorado when she played in a volleyball tournament at the Air Force Academy in 1994, and was determined to live there someday. She moved to Colorado in 1999, then the Netherlands in 2006, Massachusetts in 2013, and back “home” to Colorado in 2021. She obtained her MBA from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and her Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. She began working in healthcare in 2015 at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, followed by Fresenius Medical Care, and is now the Chief Marketing Officer for Interwell Health, a kidney care management company that partners with physicians to help patients live their best lives.
Kate is a registered organ donor and a passionate advocate for organ donation. She helped launch the Fresenius Medical Care Foundation in 2018 with the mission of raising awareness of kidney disease and transplantation as a lifesaving solution. It was through the Fresenius Medical Care Foundation that she first learned of the Chris Klug Foundation and the great work being done to educate and inspire others to be organ, eye, and tissue donors.
Kate is mom to middle schoolers Asher and Ari and wife to Mike. She loves snowboarding, praccticing yoga, hiking, traveling, and golfing. She’s always up for a good adventure and has been to all 50 states and over 40 countries.
