Patient Ambassador Visit – NJ Sharing Network
November 2 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm UTC-7
Every year, the Chris Klug Foundation visits a collection of hospitals and organ procurement organizations (OPOs) in different states around the country to inspire and encourage pre-transplant patients, recent transplant recipients and their families as well as hospital/OPO staff and volunteers. This nationwide Patient Ambassador Tour, sponsored by Astellas, connects healthy, active and accomplished members of the transplant community—our Patient Ambassadors—to these individuals and helps provide hope for those in need.
As part of our New York leg of our 2019 Patient Ambassador Tour, the Chris Klug Foundation will be hosting a panel discussion in conjunction with the NJ Sharing Network, a nonprofit OPO based in New Providence, NJ, and northeast Transplant Games team, Team Liberty. Come and enjoy a fun-filled morning and afternoon of discussion with recipients, living donors and caregivers, with Chris Klug moderating a conversation with the panelists and opening it up to questions from the audience towards the end. Registration will begin at 9:30 AM on Saturday, November 2nd, followed by the panel discussion from 10-11:30 AM. A Team Liberty informational meeting and lunch to follow. Please RSVP to attend.
